Where the photographs come from

Every cat you see on this site is a real cat, but not one of ours. The seven photographs on the home page came with the design. The rest are photographs shared on Wikimedia Commons by the people credited below, under the licence shown next to each one. The names, ages and stories we attach to them are invented for this demonstration: a cat called Noodle on these pages is a cat with another name in another home. We are grateful to every photographer for sharing their work.

The paw mark, the favicon and the layout were drawn in the original design file. Type is set in Playfair Display and Quicksand, both open fonts served from this site.
